Rickey Rainbow - Bio
Rickey Rainbow , born a native of Chicago Il.
Grew up emulating the sounds of the late great Michael Jackson and the American Motown sound . At the age of 9 he picked up the guitar and studied vigorously learning all the licks of Jimmi Hendricks , Carlos Santana and guitar greats. His talent caught on faster than he ever thought . By the age of 14 he was on stage and touring playing in front of crowds of thousand . As he fine tune his skills he received a call from New York asking him to come over and write with some big players in the music industry. Rickey moved and lived in NY for several years were he meet and worked with many current Stars.
After a few years Rickey moved back to Chicago to start his own writing and recording company (C.Rain Productions). But Rickey wasn't here for long . He got the call to come to London England to be a staff producer and writer for Wam Records . Which at the time was affiliated high profiled recording Artist. This move elevated Rickey s profile and allowed him to write and produce for several name acts. Out of a span of 5 years Rickey scored a number of songs and 5 top ten hits in the UK. He also was nominated for a Grammy for best Album and Producer for the Reggae group Aswad. Album ( Big Up! )
Currently Rickey is still writing for producing and managing his own acts for his own acts from Chicago via London. He also has been tapped as one of the best singer performers in the Chicago area . Rickey currently sings with Orchestras and wedding bands when he is in the Chicago area. His talents are definitely in high demand.
Rickey always gives his all when performing and leaves the crowd wanting more at every event. You will be more than satisfied to have Rickey perform at your event.
